Nov 9, 2022 · Here in the UK anyway, a prospective order for a GT car has to be approved by the Dealer Principle and justification given to Porsche HQ. My OPC had an allocation for 2 GT4RS. 1 went to a customer who had already had 5 Porsches from them and the other went to the Dealer Principle.

New to Porsche and new to this forum. Regarding the GT4 RS allocations, I just signed and wired for one yesterday at 50k over; European delivery after August. I had planned on asking if it was a good deal but it seems like I was very fortunate and should be thankful based on some of these posts.981.1 production is due to end March/April 2016, so now is about the right the time for Porsche to get GT4 allocations in place. If the suppliers are able to meet demand before Spring 2016 then I can't see Porsche turning their nose up at the extra money to be made from Club Sport and bucket seat options. Jeff

Yet the 718 spyder is as hard as the GT3 to get a allocation for from my experience so few of them .Whilst the GT4 is nimble and mid-engined, the GT3 is faster and more capable in every way on track and on road, with only 30 kg more and over 110 bhp extra. Most importantly it doesn't have that overly long second gear. With a GT4 on a British B road you literally just sit in gear two.

The unknown is how many allocations there will be, and the second unknown is will there be a second year of GT4 production (2017 Model). Totally agree. I was lucky to get a GT4 allocation. I would not have purchased a GTS had I not received the GT4 opportunity. It will be interesting to watch the BMW M2 sales numbers.
