My grid heater light keeps coming on while I'm driving along with ten dings. It normally comes on while driving 65+ then will go away. I'm not throwing any codes.We have had numerous inake heater relays fail on 3116/3126 engines. The C7 engines use a heavier relay. The earlier relays are to small to carry the 90+ amp load. On the 3116/3126 engines we have been using the Blue Bird relay that is used for the body heater/light functions. It does require replacing the terminal ends with something much heavier.Sounds like your heater relay is stuck closed or open. The heater relay is located on the driver side of the engine on top of the intake manifold.
