I've shot three different brands of slugs through my A300 Patrol. I'm not consistent with it past 50yds to feel comfortable hunting with it but that's mostly because the factory sights aren't precise enough for me. I know the gun is capable because I've shot some tight groups, just not all the time.

My A300 with a MOD choke will shoot tight patterns out to 25ish yards with Hornady and Winchester 00 Buck. With the IC choke the same spread backs up to about 18 yards. With Hornady Varmint #4 Buck and MOD, I get nice patterns at 35 yards, which would be doom for coyotes and other critters.
