Tether distance I have been playing ark since the first couple months it was available on xbox. I love the game and can deal with some of the small bugs in the game but one thing that ruins the game is the tether distance. 250m? Way too short. Mine was definitely worse with dlss on. I'm thinking maybe it's an issue when it's sunny out and casting lots of shadows. The shadows appear to be running at low fps with little skips here and there. It was getting very low FPS though. So I changed it back and the FPS went from a terrible 5 - 20 to pretty consistent 40. I think you can only change the tether distance on pc. You can't change the tether. It's a limitation of consoles that they don't have the power to load the entire map. The person hosting dictates the tether distance so if a person on a ps5/series x hosts, the distance will be bigger than if a ps4/xbox one hosts.
